Aston Martin Improving Valhalla to Compete with Mercedes-AMG ONE

Aston Martin is developing an upgraded version of its Valhalla hypercar to address customer complaints and better compete with the Mercedes-AMG ONE. The key improvement targets the electric battery system.

Current Issue:

  • Valhalla owners have complained that the 6.1 kWh lithium-ion battery depletes quickly
  • Current electric-only range: ~15 km (WLTP cycle)
  • Mercedes-AMG ONE’s battery: 8.4 kWh with ~18 km range

Planned Upgrade:

  • Aston Martin is testing a new Valhalla with an improved battery
  • Expected capacity increase to approximately 8 kWh
  • This should extend electric-only range to around 20 km

Power Comparison:

  • Valhalla: 1,079 CV (V8 biturbo + 3 electric motors) — currently leads in power
  • Mercedes-AMG ONE: 1,063 CV (V6 + 4 electric motors)

Additional News: A more radical variant, the Aston Martin Valhalla AMR, is also in development and will arrive soon. The original Valhalla, launched in summer 2021, continues to receive significant attention and updates from the brand.
