- BYD Shark is built on the DMO platform, which is specifically designed for off-road vehicles, and has a towing capacity of 2,500 kg and a max payload of 835 kg.
- The vehicle is equipped with a 12.8" rotable central control screen and a 10.25" instrument panel.
- BYD Shark will be competing with Ford Ranger PHEV and Toyota Hilux in Mexico.
- Despite no plans for selling passenger EVs in the US, BYD has been making electric buses in Lancaster, California, since 2012.
