Hyundai Ioniq 5 N ‘Drift King’ edition teased ahead of Auto Salon debut

Hyundai is set to unveil a special edition of its high-performance Ioniq 5 N, dubbed the ‘Drift King’ (DK) Edition, at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025.

This collaboration with the renowned racing driver and drifting pioneer Keiichi Tsuchiya promises to elevate the already potent 641bhp hyper-hatch.

The DK Edition teases significant aerodynamic enhancements, including an oversized rear spoiler, extended side skirts, a new front splitter, and lightweight wheels.

The design is further accentuated with a white matte paint job, gloss-black trim, and dark green accents, along with a prominent ‘DK Edition’ logo.

While the powertrain specifics remain under wraps, the standard Ioniq 5 N’s dual electric motors deliver 641bhp, 740Nm of torque, and a 0-62mph sprint in 3.4 seconds, aided by an ‘N Drift Optimiser’ for controlled drifting.

The full extent of the DK Edition’s modifications will be revealed at its debut, with expectations of unique interior treatments and possibly enhanced drifting capabilities
