Alpina’s first model under full BMW ownership is taking shape, and this prototype has a few details that set it apart from the regular 7 Series: amber daytime running lights, a different grille and front bumper, and the familiar oval exhaust tips.
It’s expected to get a tuned version of BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, though output hasn’t been confirmed. The wheels might just be for testing, so there’s still hope for the classic Alpina multi-spoke design.
A reveal is reportedly likely next year. Hopefully it keeps the Alpina formula: plenty of power, a comfortable ride, and the ability to cover ridiculous distances without wearing you out.
