Zeekr shows off 2024 Zeekr X

The Zeekr X, the third model from Chinese automaker Zeekr, has released its first pictures. The SUV is expected to be made available in China before the end of the year and will make its debut at the Auto China in Shanghai in April. The likelihood is that it will eventually be marketed in Europe as well.

It was previously believed that the new model would be known as Zeekr 003, but the Geely subsidiary has now revealed that it will be known as Zeekr X. The a-segment SUV has a length and breadth of roughly 4.40 meters and 1.8 meters, respectively. Wheelbase: 2.7 meters across.

In addition, the Zeekr X has no door handles (at least for the prototype), will have frameless rearview mirrors.

The Zeekr X will reportedly arrive in Chinese dealerships in the first half of the second quarter, according to media reports in that nation. The Zeekr X will make its debut as the brand’s first model in Europe following its launch in China, initially in EV-friendly regions including Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden.

The Zeekr X has been unveiled with an impressive 66-kWh battery pack that provides a range of 560 kilometers on a single charge.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), a Chinese regulator, recently revealed some important details about the Zeekr X’s battery. According to the MIIT, the battery will have a capacity of 66 kWh and a weight of 390 kg.

In terms of range, the Zeekr X is expected to offer between 500 and 560 km, depending on the selected powertrain option. It’s worth noting that the entry-level X will feature a single electric motor on the rear axle, providing 272 hp. For those seeking more power, the 4WD version will come equipped with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 428 horsepower. Interestingly, the Zeekr X’s powertrain options are similar to those of the Smart #1.
