2024 Porsche 911 Facelift Spied With Minor Design Tweaks
photographers caught a regular 911 during winter testing, hinting at an upcoming facelift for the current 992 generation. What is interesting is that the exhaust pipes of the prototypes hint at the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine which could mark the return of a non-turbocharged variant in the regular 911 range.
According to our spy photographers, who cite sources from within Weissach, this will change in the 992.2, which will get the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine in a non-GT series model.
Unlike earlier examples, this 911 Hybrid development vehicle looks like the 911 Carrera.
There are two examples of the 911 Hybrid in these photos. One of them has the obvious warning sign of electrification that uses a decal with a lightning bolt on it. The other has a simple, yellow circle on the base of the driver’s side of the A-pillar.
A bigger, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-6 engine could also be added to the Carrera and Turbo. Interior will have a digital instrument cluster, like in the Taycan.
The Porsche 911 has been updated with a new front end and headlights. The front fascia features skinny crossbars and sensors for driver assistance systems. Active slats may not be available on this vehicle, as it is unclear if they are only for certain trims or powertrains.
